Ping G15 Driver and K15 Driver Review

This review focuses on the Ping G15 Driver and K15 Driver. Ping G15 Driver features external sole weight pad which optimizes the center of gravity (CG) to generate high launch and low spin for longer drives. Its 460cc titanium head is longer front to back and features PING's patented ultra thin crown technology. This technology saves some weight from thin crown and Ping positions the saved weight as an external sole weight to optimize the CG for higher trajectories and reduced spin. Ping G15 Driver not only has a maximum forgiveness, but also possesses enhanced distance and accuracy. The clubface of G15 is very large to increase ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface. You’ll hit longer and straighter tee shots with the engineering that makes the G15 such a reliable performer. Its large head profile increases the moment of inertia (MOI) for maximum forgiveness across the hitting surface. The club head is finished in a dark color that is very subtle and does not distract you at address or during your swing. The crown of the PING G15 driver is set with the trademark Ping alignment aid, a reversed crescent moon. Again, nothing distracting about this, the alignment aid is a dark gray that does not stand out significantly, just enough that you can easily align the ball and club face. For those of you who are bothered by offset and draw bias in a club, you will be happy to know that the Ping G15 Driver set up pretty neutral and looks quite square at address. There is a draw bias version of the G15 for those of you looking to help ease a slice. That particular model offers up a slightly more pronounced offset.

Ping K15 Driver also features Ultra-Thin Crown Technology, allowing engineers to save weight and locate the saved weight to SF Tec’s external weight pad for high MOI and low, back CG that launches the ball high with low spin for optimizing distance and accuracy. The Ping K15 Driver is designed for straight drives. It features Ping’s renowned Straight Flight Technology (SF Tec) which places approximately 10% of head mass toward the heel to help square the face for splitting fairways. Ping K15 Driver can also help you on distance gains for its high MOI resulting in high ball speed and forgiveness.
